Soccer Party!

Isn't he adorable!! It's impossible not to love that face! So when it came time to celebrate his 1st Birthday I was beyond excited when his mommy asked for my help in the planning.  I have been taking little man Noah's picture since he was a brand new baby and have enjoyed every second of it.  It has been so fun watching him change and grow.  I can't wait to see what his second year brings!

Here are some of my favorite pics from his first year.

 See what I mean...ADORABLE!!!

Now lets get to the party details.  When trying to help figure out a theme for his 1st Birthday I had tons of fun, as a mom of two girls helping plan a baby BOY party was super exciting.  Noah's daddy is a big Seattle Sounders fan so the plan was made to have a Soccer party.

To set the tone for the party a fun invitation was needed.  I found a great one on Etsy.com.

We went with the Sounders colors of blue and green and everything just fell into place from there.
We used photos from a shoot we did a few weeks earlier to make a couple signs for the party.

Noah's Mom made the chocolate soccer ball pops for party favors. They were YUMMY!

My gift to the birthday boy was to make a bunch of the crafts for his party.
I made the "Happy Birthday Banner" with the help from my wonderful Cricut machine.

The soccer ball cupcake toppers were super easy!

I used a free printable of soccer balls I found on Pinterest, of course.

We did a banner of pictures from all 12 months.

Pictures of the birthday boy were used around the room as decorations.

We gave all the food and drinks fun soccer themed names.

I think everything turned out great! And it was all super simple and didn't cost a ton either.

The smash cake was so cute, and perfect for the theme! Noah had fun getting into it!

My great friend Jennifer, aka-Noah's Mom, indulged my photography obsession and allowed me to take photos at the party.  All the pics in this post were taken by me.

It was a great party.  I LOVE LOVE this family and can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays with them!

Lemonade Stand!

For all the fellow Pinterest lovers out there you know, it can be dangerous!! This is very very true for me.  When I started planning my daughters 1st Birthday party I spent many a hour...ok many a day...on Pinterest.  I came across a few blogs that featured lemonade stand parties and fell in love with the idea, colors, everything about it.  My first daughter was born in January, so summer themed parties were out.  Having a July baby this time around I cannot lie....I was pretty excited about the party possibilites.  I'm not crazy right...there are other moms out there that think like this? Oh well!!

I came across a few mini lemonade stands on Pinterest and the thoughts and ideas started rolling in at an alarming rate!  A few months down the road and we now have an adorable Lemonade Stand just for miss Ellie.

I like to say I had the ideas, my husband had the brains, and my father-in-law had the know how.  Between the 3 of us we produced a pretty cool little stand.  Take a look!

My hubby and father-in-law working out the logistics.
I made one ceremonial cut with the saw.  I might want one for my birthday.

 The base is done!

 All done!!
Painting words to make them look like a child did it....harder than you think.  Don't be jealous of the fancy hair-do.
The finished product.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

I also have a minor obsession with photography, so the day would not be complete with out a mini photo shoot with Ellie and her brand new lemonade stand!

 Checking out the tip jar.

 My little cutie!
How could you NOT love that face?

Thank you to my hubby and father-in-law for helping me make this a reality!
I can't wait to incorporate it into her birthday party in a few weeks.
